Your handwriting font in iPhone

iPhone installs fonts through a configuration profile. SnapFont builds that profile for your font, so the whole install is: save to Files, open, approve in Settings.

Install

  1. Make your font in SnapFont (print the sheet, write it, take one photo).
  2. Tap Install. SnapFont builds a font profile; save it to Files and open it.
  3. Settings, General, VPN and Device Management, tap the profile, Install.
  4. Check Settings, General, Fonts. Your font is listed with a preview.

Good to know

  • Installed fonts appear in apps with a font picker: Pages, Keynote, Word, GoodNotes, Notability, Cricut Design Space. Messages, Notes, and Mail do not offer one.
  • The font stays installed if you delete SnapFont. Remove it any time from the same Settings screen.

Questions people ask

Is a font profile safe?
A font profile contains only the font file. iOS shows its contents before you install, and you can remove it any time from Settings.
Can I use the font in iMessage?
No. Messages has no font picker. Type in Pages or Keynote with your font, screenshot it, and send the image.
